The 16AA Girls won a thriller 5-4 over the JR Flyers 16AA team to punch their ticket to Nationals! The girls found themselves in a 3-0 hole early, but clawed their way back in the middle of the 2nd.  The scoring got started when #3 Claire Chanfrau ('08) one timed a puck from #16 Hannah Rosenheck ('07) for goal number 1. The girls then scored a 2nd on the next shift on a beautiful feed from #13 Mia McSherry ('06) to #18 Gaby Rothstein ('06) to make it 3-2. Then the girls completed the comeback on a beautiful tip by #3 Claire Chanfrau ('08) off a well placed shot by #7 Kylie Vas ('07) to tie the game up at 3. The JR Flyers then responded with a power play goal at the end of the 2nd, which found the Bandits down by 1 going into the 3rd. But, midway thru the 3rd, #3 Claire Chanfrau ('08) found #23 Jolie Vaiana ('07) wide open backdoor , to bring the game back to 4-4. Then in thrilling fashion, #3 Claire Chanfrau ('07) completed the hat trick off a rebound on a beautiful point shot from #26 Jenna Kirch ('07) to make it 5-4. Goalie #40 Harper Keenan ('06) was phenomenal in relief back stopping the Bandits to victory. The girls are excited to get started on 3/30 at the Tier 2 Girls USAHockey Nationals in Anaheim,CA.
